Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Kelly and Jacob’s perfect wedding at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club was full of emotions, great speeches, laughter and surprises. The biggest surprise was the weather and we are so glad that Kelly got her wish of having her wedding photo session outside on a beautiful day. We had probably the biggest downpour of the season in the morning so we could not believe when the sky opened up just in time for our session and the beautiful sunshine lit up Jericho Park. We had great time with Kelly’s wonderful bridesmaids and Jacob’s brothers and friends. Thank you and congratulations!!

One of our last weddings this year and what a treat it was! Kimmie and Jeff live in Ontario so we had only spent a few hours with them prior to the wedding during their February engagement session. However, throughout their wedding we felt like we had known them forever, not only because we put together a slideshow with photographs from their childhoods, but because they are such a nice and easy going couple. We started the day with Kimmie and Jeff’s preparation photographs at the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Jeff had a great time with his best buddies while Kimmie was getting ready, accompanied by her best friends, her mom Leslie, and by Kimmie and Jeff’s adorable daughter Scarlett. The wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful atrium of The Landing, a heritage building in Vancouver’s historic Gastown, and it was followed by the reception at Steamworks, housed in the same building. Leslie put an amazing amount of work into organizing her only daughter’s dream wedding, from the great choice of venue down to every last detail, which even included, our first, wedding piñata! She even managed to get us access to the roof of one of Gastown’s historic buildings, giving us a real photographic treat.

Erin and David’s wedding really showed everyone just how much they love each other and how much their families mean to them. Their happy energy made every room they stepped into sparkle, making us very happy photographers.

After photographing Erin and David’s preparations in East Vancouver, we all went to the beautiful Heritage Hall on Main Street, where both the wedding ceremony and reception were held. Our happy couple is all about family and friends, so after just a few formal portraits we continued covering the rest of the evening in a photojournalistic style, with lots of candid shots of people having a very good time. The atmosphere in the Hall was very relaxed, laid back, and the whole event had a wonderful flow, topped off with delicious BBQ from Memphis Blues, and of course fabulous cup cakes.
