West Coast Albums

I recently discovered West Coast Albums, a Los Angeles based maker of handcrafted albums, and my first wedding album produced by them arrived in the mail last week. The album is gorgeous and extremely well made! Let me tell you right off the bat, the book’s quality is evident the moment you pick it up and hold it in your hands. It’s only 30 pages (15 spreads) at 12″x12″ but it weighs nearly 7 pounds. I don’t usually measure the quality of an album with pounds but the sheer weight reinforces the impression of a very solid piece of craftsmanship.

The cover is a beautiful high grade leather with an inset photo printed on a very sleek matte metallic paper. WCA doesn’t put any restrictions on a size or location of the inset, it’s all up to your imagination.

The pages are thick and sturdy with rounded corners to avoid damage and this also makes them more pleasing to handle. Even the box is gorgeous, with an inset photo that matches the cover.

Jack Hudkins, the Sales Manager at West Coast Albums is a pleasure to work with, very helpful and quick to respond to all my questions and inquiries. I have a strong feeling that WCA albums will be a hit with my brides!
