Kelly and Jacob – Royal Vancouver Yacht Club Wedding

Kelly and Jacob’s perfect wedding at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club was full of emotions, great speeches, laughter and surprises. The biggest surprise was the weather and we are so glad that Kelly got her wish of having her wedding photo session outside on a beautiful day. We had probably the biggest downpour of the season in the morning so we could not believe when the sky opened up just in time for our session and the beautiful sunshine lit up Jericho Park. We had great time with Kelly’s wonderful bridesmaids and Jacob’s brothers and friends. Thank you and congratulations!!

Kimmie and Jeff’s Gastown Wedding

One of our last weddings this year and what a treat it was! Kimmie and Jeff live in Ontario so we had only spent a few hours with them prior to the wedding during their February engagement session. However, throughout their wedding we felt like we had known them forever, not only because we put together a slideshow with photographs from their childhoods, but because they are such a nice and easy going couple. We started the day with Kimmie and Jeff’s preparation photographs at the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Jeff had a great time with his best buddies while Kimmie was getting ready, accompanied by her best friends, her mom Leslie, and by Kimmie and Jeff’s adorable daughter Scarlett. The wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful atrium of The Landing, a heritage building in Vancouver’s historic Gastown, and it was followed by the reception at Steamworks, housed in the same building. Leslie put an amazing amount of work into organizing her only daughter’s dream wedding, from the great choice of venue down to every last detail, which even included, our first, wedding piñata! She even managed to get us access to the roof of one of Gastown’s historic buildings, giving us a real photographic treat.

It was a pleasure to photograph you Kimmie and Jeff, and Scarlett and your families and friends. Congratulations and all the best!!!

Erin & David – Vancouver Heritage Hall Wedding

Erin and David’s wedding really showed everyone just how much they love each other and how much their families mean to them. Their happy energy made every room they stepped into sparkle, making us very happy photographers.

After photographing Erin and David’s preparations in East Vancouver, we all went to the beautiful Heritage Hall on Main Street, where both the wedding ceremony and reception were held. Our happy couple is all about family and friends, so after just a few formal portraits we continued covering the rest of the evening in a photojournalistic style, with lots of candid shots of people having a very good time. The atmosphere in the Hall was very relaxed, laid back, and the whole event had a wonderful flow, topped off with delicious BBQ from Memphis Blues, and of course fabulous cup cakes.

Thank you Erin and David for letting us photograph your beautiful wedding. It was a perfect ending to our 2011 wedding season!!

Stephanie & Clint – Burnaby Village Museum Wedding

Stephanie and Clint are such a sweet couple. We were thrilled to photograph their small wedding ceremony at the Burnaby Village Museum. They exchanged their vows surrounded by family and close friends in a beautiful chapel on the museum grounds. We had the quaint village all to ourselves, giving us a fantastic opportunity to create some beautiful photographs.

Alisa and Matt – SFU Wedding

Alisa and Matt’s wedding brought them back to where they first met, with both the ceremony and reception taking place at the Burnaby campus of Simon Fraser University on a crisp September day. Their day started with getting ready at the Simon Hotel, accompanied by an entourage of six gorgeous bridesmaids and six cool groomsmen. The wedding ceremony at the Diamond Alumni Centre was followed by a cocktail hour set to the tune of steelpan drum music, paying homage to Alisa’s Caribbean roots and her and Matt’s love of travel.

It was great to watch the inventive and fun entrances of the bridal party and the bride and groom themselves into a beautifully decorated West Coast style reception hall. What followed was an evening of fun, dancing, great speeches and awesome food.

Stephanie and Darren – Wedding at Stanley Park Pavilion

Back in June we had a fantastic and creative engagement session with Stephanie and Darren at Fort Langley. Yesterday we had the pleasure of photographing their wedding at Stanley Park Pavilion. It was elegant, vintage and timeless. Stephanie looked beautiful in her mermaid wedding gown and Darren shined in his traditional Scottish attire on this wonderful sunny day, surrounded by great family and friends at Vancouver’s classic Stanley Park Pavilion. It was a wedding everyone present will remember for a long time. We are honoured that our photography will help preserve these memories.

Jessica & Chris – Wedding in Queen Elizabeth Park

If you met them, you’d love them. Jessica and Chris are both sweet, fresh and spontaneous. Chris’s boyish charm and Jessica’s beauty and boundless energy made their wedding day unforgettable. Between the ceremony in Queen Elizabeth Park’s Celebration Pavilion and the reception in New Westminster’s Inn at the Quay, the whole day was filled with laughter, some tears, music and surprises.

Rebecca and Ian’s Grouse Mountain Wedding

We were so excited to photograph Rebecca and Ian’s a wedding on top of a beautiful Grouse Mountain! The view couldn’t be better on that wonderful sunny day and it got only more beautiful after sunset. Rebecca and Ian were married on a lawn overlooking the city and the ceremony was followed by a great reception in the Timber Room.

Mom and Daughters Photo Session in Jericho Park

We had a pleasure to photograph Carole, Darice and Alysha on their family outing in Jericho Park. Darice lives in California and was visiting Vancouver only for a couple of days, luckily we were available and the weather cooperated. It was fantastic to see the two sisters and their mother have such a happy relationship, they couldn’t stop chatting and laughing. Hope you had a great rest of the weekend!

Vancouver Downtown Engagement Session with Kelly and Jacob

Kelly wanted to have her urban engagement session on a nice summer day. She had to wait a long time but did she ever get her wish. Last Sunday was probably the most beautiful day of this year’s “summer”. Warm, sunny and laid back. And such was our photo shoot with Kelly and her fiancee Jacob.
