Ghazal and Soren – A Beautiful Vancouver Autumn Wedding

Fall weddings are great – with beautiful light, vibrant colours and early sunsets. And it is not often we get to photograph a bride as beautiful as Ghazal. They make a perfect couple with Soren, playful, fun and exciting. After the preparations, we photographed them in Stanley Park on a gorgeous, sunny fall day. A small ceremony and reception followed in Soren parents’ house. It was wonderful to be part of this intimate event with close family and friends. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and Persian food, ooh! It was a true pleasure to photograph your wedding Ghazal and Soren, and meet your lovely families. Congratulations!!!

Mary & Jesse – Wedding at the Heritage Hall

Mary and Jesse share not only their love for each other and great friendship but they are also both artists. Mary is an illustrator and creative force behind Tiny Vices and Jesse is an animator and co-owner of Blatant Studios in Gastown. Both talented, creative and full of enthusiasm. We were thrilled to photograph their wedding last Sunday at the Heritage Hall in Vancouver, preceded by preparation in the Granville Island Hotel and photo session in Queen Elizabeth Park. It was a sweet , sunny and happy day. Congratulations Mary and Jesse!

Chelsea & Tim – Brock House Wedding

Chelsea is an accomplished dancer, molecular biologist and the beautiful wife of her perfect match – Tim. They are kind, spontaneous, laid back and so, so lucky to have each other! We photographed their engagement session in May and the wedding took place in the middle of July on a perfect summer afternoon in Vancouver. Tim got ready with his mates (did we mention he’s an Aussie?) in Granville Island Hotel and Chelsea at her apartment, accompanied by her parents, grandfather and her lovely bridesmaids. The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Vancouver and the reception took place at the Brock House Restaurant. It was a perfect event for a perfect couple, with emotional speeches from their lovely family members, fabulous food and the breathtaking backdrop of a sunset over Burrard Inlet and the North Shore mountains.

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph you, thank you Chelsea and Tim!

Monica and Isaac – Wedding

I met Monica and Isaac almost two years ago when they hired me to photograph their engagement session. They were one of the most natural and fun couples I worked with, so Marta and I were very happy when they asked us last year to photograph their wedding. We started early in the morning photographing Monica’s preparation at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in Vancouver followed by a session with Isaac and his groomsmen. Their beautiful wedding ceremony was held at the Guardian Angels Parish downtown. After the ceremony we spent a couple of hours with the whole bridal party photographing at the Roundhouse, Gastown and Coal Harbour. The modern and inviting Coast Coal Harbour Hotel was a great venue for the reception for more than 100 people who came from as far as Poland to share with Monica and Isaac their special day.

Congratulations Monica and Isaac, we are grateful to have been a part of your wedding day!!

Chelsea and Tim – Vancouver Engagement Photography

Chelsea and Tim make a smart, great looking and genuine couple. At our engagement photo session they understood each other without words and they just couldn’t look at one another without big smiles on their faces. They were so nice to be around and had so much imagination that we all just couldn’t stop laughing. It was a perfect, early summer evening as we started at Cecil Green Park House. As neither Chelsea nor Tim is originally from Vancouver, they wanted truly Canadian/West Coast/Vancouver views for some of their shots. So we found a perfect Vancouver backdrop on Jericho Beach and then in Pacific Spirit Park.

Thanks Chelsea and Tim for being so great to work with. To be continued, at your wedding in July…!

Ghazal and Soren – Vancouver Engagement Photography

As promised, here are my favourites from last Sunday’s engagement shoot with Ghazal and Soren. I can’t even begin to describe what a wonderful couple they are. First of all, they are both super nice and friendly. And truly, head over heels in love and so in tune with each other that there is no doubt they both found a perfect match. Oh, and did I mention that Ghazal is absolutely gorgeous?!

Our photo shoot had a great flow, with several different locations in Vancouver, around Gastown, Yaletown and Roundhouse, our favourite places to photograph couples in love. Enjoy these samples, I’ll be using these and many other great photographs in your guest album. Can’t wait to photograph your wedding in July!

Kelly and Jacob | Royal Vancouver Yacht Club Wedding | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Kelly and Jacob’s perfect wedding at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club was full of emotions, great speeches, laughter and surprises. The biggest surprise was the weather and we are so glad that Kelly got her wish of having her wedding photo session outside on a beautiful day. We had probably the biggest downpour of the season in the morning so we could not believe when the sky opened up just in time for our session and the beautiful sunshine lit up Jericho Park. We had great time with Kelly’s wonderful bridesmaids and Jacob’s brothers and friends. Thank you and congratulations!!

Kimmie and Jeff’s Gastown Wedding | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

One of our last weddings this year and what a treat it was! Kimmie and Jeff live in Ontario so we had only spent a few hours with them prior to the wedding during their February engagement session. However, throughout their wedding we felt like we had known them forever, not only because we put together a slideshow with photographs from their childhoods, but because they are such a nice and easy going couple. We started the day with Kimmie and Jeff’s preparation photographs at the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Jeff had a great time with his best buddies while Kimmie was getting ready, accompanied by her best friends, her mom Leslie, and by Kimmie and Jeff’s adorable daughter Scarlett. The wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful atrium of The Landing, a heritage building in Vancouver’s historic Gastown, and it was followed by the reception at Steamworks, housed in the same building. Leslie put an amazing amount of work into organizing her only daughter’s dream wedding, from the great choice of venue down to every last detail, which even included, our first, wedding piñata! She even managed to get us access to the roof of one of Gastown’s historic buildings, giving us a real photographic treat.

It was a pleasure to photograph you Kimmie and Jeff, and Scarlett and your families and friends. Congratulations and all the best!!!
